After a successful Town Hall meeting in late 2025, local residents and businesses expressed strong support for a seasonal market to be launched in Horseshoe Bay. A volunteer board was established, and the Horseshoe Bay Community Market was registered as a non-profit society in BC.

The market is designed as a neighborhood social gathering, celebrating the unique coastal vibe of Horseshoe Bay together with local flavours, fresh seasonal treats and artisanal delights on Saturdays from June 13 through October 10 2026.

Horseshoe Bay and the nearby neighborhoods of Gleneagles, Whytecliff and Caulfeild are active and affluent, with strong social ties around the local schools, activity centres and associations. Residents tend to be engaged and supportive of the local community. At the heart of Horseshoe Bay is a vibrant and unique commercial district defined by its unique local character. The market is intended to fill existing gaps in the local marketplace. The area is also a popular visitor destination, at the hub of several BC Ferries routes.

As we launch our first season, we are actively seeking local vendors to help shape the future of the market.

  • Wellness and specialty goods vendors

  • Stall Fees: $40.00 / market day
  • Annual Registration Fee: $40.00
  • Location: Horseshoe Bay Village (View Map)Primarily on the boardwalk of the Sanctuary condo development. Some vendors may also be located within Horseshoe Bay Park. Open in Google Maps
  • Selection Process: Potential vendors will participate in a jury selection or vetting process.You will be contacted with specific dates for the jury process when you apply. The vetting process will enable the market team to ensure the quality of your products and become familiar with your wares.

To keep things safe and fair for everyone, we ask that all vendors follow our market guidelines.

Set-up Information & Display Requirements

Each vendor must provide:

  • Your own 10’ x 10’ or 8’ x 8’ tent
  • 4 tent weights approximately 20 lbs / 9.07 kg per weight
  • Table and chairs
  • Your own signage, including pricing and refund policies
  • Garbage receptacle (Please note that you will be required to take away your own garbage)

Insurance

Insurance is mandatory for all vendors.
Insurance can easily be purchased through BC Association of Farmers’ Markets. Information can be found here.

License / Permits

Depending on what you are selling, you may need specific licenses or permits, i.e. Vancouver Coastal Health Food Service Permit.
